Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How much does it cost?
The first session of Hypnotherapy will cost $165. For a full list of concession rates and packages check out the Fees and Packages page.
  2. Can I be Hypnotised?
Almost anyone can be hypnotised. In fact most people go into a form of hypnosis every day. Have you ever driven a car and find that you have momentarily lost memory of the last few kilometres. You have been in a light (and safe) traffic trance. It is similar to hypnosis.
  3. What will I experience?
To be in a hypnotic trance is so very relaxing physically, yet your mind is very alert. You are in full control, yet feel so relaxed.
  4. Will hypnosis work straight away?
If you really want to make changes in your life, then hypnosis will work straight away. I remind clients that I am not doing the work … you are.
  5. Are there any guarantees?
Unfortunately there are no guarantees in life. However I can guarantee that you will have a very relaxing experience and if the changes experienced by the over 1000 clients I have seen are any indication, then you will also experience long lasting empowering changes.
  6. Can I get my money back if it doesn’t work?
There have been a very small number of clients who have requested refunds due to extenuating circumstances. Of course each case is treated on its merits. As I say, you are the one doing the work. I am just the facilitator of change.
  7. Is Hypnosis safe?
It is very safe. As a professional Clinical Hypnotherapist I have an up-to-date first aid certificate and I am fully insured.
  8. Can I drive home afterwards?
Of course. When you awaken from your deep hypnotic trance I will ensure that you are fully conscious and fully aware before you leave my practice.
  9. Can I claim Hypnosis with my private Health Insurance.
I have a Provider Number with the Health Insurance companies who cover Hypnotherapy. I suggest that you check with your insurance company to see if your level of cover entitles you to a rebate. Hypnotherapy is NOT covered by Medicare.
  10. Can you make me do crazy stuff like in stage hypnosis?
Can you make me do crazy stuff like in stage hypnosis?”]Only if you want to. Seriously though … this is Hypnosis with therapy attached. Stage hypnosis is for entertainment.
